Arts N’ Crafts

I’ve been crafting again!

Here is a card for my Dad:

On the inside it says: “Thanks for Hanging Around”

The T-Shirts were made by combining three punches. And I love thickers. So. Much.

And here is one for my second cousin who’s open house was this past weekend:

I used my favorite alphabet stamps for this one: Studio Calico’s Noah Alphabet

Today, I made another easter card, this time using an embossing technique. As always, if you see anything you like, you can go here and click shop to look around or drop me an email at: stampinsavvy@gmail.com

Hope you enjoy!

I am DETERMINED to have a good weekend! I have been in a funk the last two weeks, and I realized the other day that I hadn’t gotten dressed all week. Yeah, I worked in pj’s all week. Something is wrong with that. Not good.

So here I am, showered and dressed and trying to concentrate on work.

Not doing a good job with that last part obviously — but hey! I am dressed!

Baby L is at the doctor right now with his Daddy trying to figure out why he isn’t feeling better. We have been dealing with fevers, runny noses, ear pulling and overall crankiness all week. I just want him to feel better! Plus, he’s been sleeping like poo, so we have been sleeping like poo and that’s not good.

Tomorrow, though, I am getting outta here! I am stamping with my SU! upline, and her customers! It’s always fun to craft, or do art around other people. It’s a Stamp-a-stack, so that means we get to leave with some cards. 20 dollars for lunch, stamping and lot’s of laughs. I am kind of nervous because I won’t know anyone, but it’s good step towards old Meg.

Speaking of post-partum-dom I think after 11 months, I am finally getting my body back. Lately, I have noticed little changes…my posture is better, my stomach muscles aren’t making me look pregnant anymore, and it seems my organs have finally shifted back into place. I have also noticed that after my period two weeks ago (my first one in two years!! YIKES!!) I don’t look like I am filled with water. My boobs are also shrinking, as I think I am losing my milk because of L loving his solids so much – he only breastfeeds in the morning and at night x2 now.

Still not skinny by any means…but at least I don’t still look pregnant when I walk around.

My Disney Giveaway ends tonight! I am excited to pick a winner. I have a couple more lined up that will last one week each – so stay tuned!! Very very good stuff coming!

Hey there Crafty ladies!

A week ago, I posted a video of something I love to do as a hobby. Card making. I fell in love with it back in 2008, when I was sick of TTC and needed something else to think about every second of the day! I bought a few stamps, and some cardstock, watched a ton of YouTube videos (Kristina is my favorite!) and went to town.

This little hobby has become an addiction. So, naturally, when I got my first paycheck I bought the baby some new clothes and toys (because, face it, I couldn’t just buy myself something without feeling guilty!) and ordered a ton of Stampin’ Up! stuff. Currently, they are having a sale-a-bration! This is great promotion where if you spend 50 dollars, you get a free set of stamps/paper/tools from the sale-a-bration catalog. Of course this couldn’t have came at a better time! But, instead of getting my usual shipment of 3 or 4 things, I ended up getting…get this…24 FREE things with my order. (Yes, I used a credit card. It’s been a while =D) The thing is, I didn’t really spend that much.

But now I am here facing a pile of stamps I need to mount, and getting overwhelmed by it all. I love doing this stuff so much, but man I OVER DID IT! Whenever I have a little money to spend here and there (which is rare) I go WILD. I buy sooo much stuff, that I end up getting overwhelmed, and don’t touch it for a while. Funny huh?

So in an attempt to make sure I use it all, I will be posting a video every Saturday like the one here. Call it, Stampin’ Savvy Saturday.

BTW, I do sell the stuff I use, and would love it if you wanted to buy from me by going to:http://stampinsavvy.stampinup.net. But, ya know, you don’t have to. I am just an attention whore and like making videos! =D

Stay Tuned! Or, if you haven’t already,go watch my first video andsubscribe on YouTube! Thanks!

So I am working on samples for my crafty blog that will be up soon, and thought I would share one here! This week I got 3 shipments of Stampin’ Up! stuff to play with (okay, I am a bit obsessed, but I love this stuff!!) and since tonight I am sans baby for a little mommy time, I thought I would play a bit.

This is a birthday card made with a scalloped edge punch (Stampin’ Up!), the Birthday Whimsy stamp set (which I think is retired.. I’ve had it for a while!) and the On a Pedestal stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!The paper is Bermuda Bay (Bold Brights from Stampin’ Up!) and cute patterned paper from the Glitter Sweet collection from DCWV (Die Cuts With a View).

My sister loved it so much, she is buying it from me tomorrow for her niece on her in-laws side. Her birthday party is Monday. I even made a cute envelope to go with, but I will make her wait and post it on the crafty blog I am setting up.

Fun! I can’t wait to make more…

Here I go! =D
