3 month old baby

I have been a bit absent from this blog, because I have been busy setting up a blog for my Stampin’ Up! business over at: StampinSavvy.com!

I am very excited about this, because in addition to teaching live classes/workshops I will be able to share my creations and love of stamping on that blog for all of you to see! It is a self hosted wordpress blog, but I did add the google friend connect, so if you want to subscribe that way please do!

If you see anything that looks fun, or if you want to take a look through the Stampin’ Up! catalogs, I have those for free download on there too, and a link to order Online 24/7! (which is a new feature of Stampin’ Up!)

Click the banner below to visit!

And now I have a ton to catch up on on your blogs! I see I have some new followers too! I will be following back shortly, promise!

In other news, L turns 4 months old tomorrow, and I have a ton of video to show you guys.

We have also figured out that he FREAKS out if I am not in the room, or if I leave. Recently, I left him with my mom and dad for a couple hours so I could focus on bargain grocery shopping (we are declaring war on the bottom line!) and he was happy and giggly when I was there, and a complete terror when I was gone. But the minute he heard my voice, he was happy again. He was also very weepy when my sister took him for a Saturday night to have a cousin sleep over, and then happy again when I was around again. We don’t know what to do! I don’t want him to be sad just because I am gone, I want my mom and dad to be able to enjoy him too! I need advice!!

I start school again next week, and luckily he’s not too sad when he is playing/watching Spiderman with his daddy…but I would like to give him a break at least one day a week (I have class 5 hours a day, 2 times a week this semester) I dont want to traumatize he poor kid….

But it does feel good that he loves me that much that he needs to be with me all the time… :)

Using the tips in the book and from the Blog “How to Photograph Your Baby” , I was able to get these fantastic pictures of L! I have been taking a lot of pictures of him lately, and discovered the book and blog on a podcast I listen to called “New Mom’s, New Babies”. It’s always so hard to get that perfect, non fuzzy picture of children. I hope to get better at it with L. Enjoy!

Isn’t he such a cutie??

Today was a fantastic baby day. L has been having a hard week, his gums keep flaring up – no teeth yet – which means I have had a cranky baby for the past couple of days. He always tries to smile through the pain, poor baby! But today, he was awesome. Big smiles all day long, he took regular naps, ate really well and even went to bed without screaming for mama (I think he is finally figuring out the bed time routine!)

He was going to go stay with my sister tonight, but I called it off this morning thinking he was going to be cranky and not feeling good. I am glad I did! It wouldn’t have been fair if she would have had him on such a good day! =) We went to Baby’s R Us and got him some wrist rattlers, which he LOVES! He has been shaking a rattle all week, but he doesn’t quite have the grip to do it for long. Now all he has to do is flail those little arms and viola! Entertainment.

I am loving 3 months old. He does so many “L” things. He even looked different today. It’s amazing.

This week has been good as far as work life balance. My husband, who works from home, can sometimes disappear for days on end in his office. His work is very demanding, and he is always trying to please so he became kind of a workaholic. But this week, he was determined to set a schedule, with plenty of L breaks throughout the day, to keep his (and mine) sanity. He works from 8am-12pm, Hangs out with us until 2pm, works until 6pm Has dinner with us, bathtime and bedtime for the baby – then if he has to catch up on work he goes back for a few more hours then hangs out with me until bedtime. Yeah, he works that much. But I try not to complain because he is doing it so I can stay home with my little guy for a few years. I do get jealous though…you see I used to be just as much as a workaholic back when I was a Fed.

Yeah, I worked for the government. Intrigued? It was the best job I had ever had (besides this mommy job!) But more on that later. =)

I am working on some articles for MomSpark in my spare time, and I have also taken on some other things that I will announce soon. I start school again in a month, and I have Type A Mom Con in a month and a half! So excited! Are any of you going?!? We need to hook up!

Ahh. Rambling. Don’t you just love it!?!

So…what have you all been up to? I haven’t been able to comment as much as I have wanted to, but I am reading bits and pieces here and there. Remember, you can follow me on Twitter via @MegsaMommy I tweet a lot, and I always answer reply’s, or shout outs!
