Personally, I love handmade jewelry. When I was a teenager my mother had a jewelry making hobby – she would make me earrings, bracelets and necklaces. Whether it was for a special dance/party or for everyday wear, I never had the same accessories as the other girls – and I loved standing out because of it.
When I was asked to do a giveaway for Bella Vita, I jumped at the chance because obviously handmade jewelry has a special place in my heart. Plus, her pieces are beautiful works of art. She specializes in the unique and each one is custom made to order. Many are one of a kind!
The artists name is Brandy Thomason, and founded Bella Vita in 2008 after a lifetime love of jewelry making – and her passion shines through every unique piece she makes! Her inspiration comes from her love of design:
When designing the daintiest of pieces or bold statement jewelry, I love searching for the perfect gems, beads or vintage treasures and combining all the different materials in my studio to create wearable works of art that appeal to the everyday “Bella Vita girl.” I find inspiration in the materials themselves, high fashion blogs and magazines, art museums or the naturally occurring color palettes I see when I take walks with my dog.
